Spring Title IV Survey Coming May 18th

Logo for Eastern Lancaster County School District, featuring a Spartan helmet and the motto 'Empowering Learners as Global Thinkers and Producers'.
Dear Families:
As part of the Title IV grant funding the district receives, which is used for well rounded education and development of cross disciplinary skills such as collaboration and communication, the District must collect evidence of learner growth in these areas. To gather information about progress at the elementary level, the District will be administering a brief survey to learners in grades 3-5 related to 21st Century skills. The survey is about 5-10 minutes in length and will be administered by classroom teachers during the week of May 18th.
Example learner questions include:
How often do you do experiments at school?
How often do you make presentations to others at school?
How often do you get feedback from classmates on how to improve your work?
How often do you work with teams to solve problems at school?
If you do not want your child to participate in the survey, please submit your request in writing to your child’s building principal.
Respectfully,
Nadine A. Larkin, Ed.D.
Assistant Superintendent
Eastern Lancaster County School District

Excellence in Attendance

We are thankful to our families for entrusting us with your children each day as we learn and grow together. Consistent attendance helps students strengthen key skills in reading, writing, and math, while also allowing them to collaborate with classmates and create meaningful, lifelong friendships. Being together supports social growth and fosters a sense of belonging that enhances every learning experience.

We look forward to seeing new classes next week!
