Each month of the school year at New Holland Elementary School, we focus on a Character Strong Character Trait of the month.  Each month, a new character trait will be introduced to the learners through morning announcements, classroom lessons, and other activities.  Also, monthly character trait newsletters will be sent home sharing information and fun activities to do with your children.  At the end of each month, teachers will choose a CHARACTER STRONG STUDENT OF THE MONTH.  This award goes to one learner from each class who demonstrates this character trait in their words and actions.  The character trait for September is Respect, October is Responsibility, November is Gratitude, December is Empathy, January is Perseverance, February is Honesty, March is Cooperation, April is Courage, and May is Creativity.  We have already focused on Kindness in August.  We are very excited to share opportunities for learners to practice becoming Character Strong!
