HAWK HAPPENINGS

OCTOBER 2, 2026

October is BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH

The definition of bullying is hurtful and repeated behavior. But bullying also...
  • Is unwanted physical and or emotional pain
  • Involves imbalance of power
  • Can happen online (Cyberbullying)
During the month of October, New Holland Elementary School will focus on Bullying Awareness and Prevention. It is important for our learners to know what bullying is and what bullying is not. The chart below is one way we explain the concept of bullying to the New Holland learners. Also, the stop sign below is a tool we use to teach learners what they can do when they notice or experience bullying concerns. Next week, you will receive a Bullying Prevention Parent Newsletter with information and activities to share with your children. We are planning a variety of special events focusing on Bullying Prevention for the month of October. Please check your child's backpack and future Hawk Happenings for more information and special activities!

Excellence in Attendance

We are thankful to our families for entrusting us with your children each day as we learn and grow together. Consistent attendance helps students strengthen key skills in reading, writing, and math, while also allowing them to collaborate with classmates and create meaningful, lifelong friendships. Being together supports social growth and fosters a sense of belonging that enhances every learning experience.

The following classes have had 95% or better attendance this week:

Mrs. Reese
1st Grade - Watkins and Thompson
3rd Grade - Chernigo
5th Grade - Spence
